Fender Covers

Fender covers are an absolute necessity for any historic Cadillac. Whenever you raise the hood on your pride and joy a CLC fender cover(s) should be in place. Whether it be in your own garage, a mechanic's shop, or a car show, these handsome covers will provide essential protection. With the high cost and physical problems related to having paint touched-up, or a fender refinished, these CLC fender covers are an inexpensive ounce of prevention. Now there is no excuse to work on you car using an old blanket or towels that have a tendency to slide off waxed finishes, and will allow fluids to seep through to the paint.

The new CLC fender covers come in blue and red. To provide maximum protection for the extra long fenders used on Cadillac's, these covers are custom-made, measuring a full 42-inches in length, and 26-inches wide. Under the printed vinyl top layer is an integral rubber-type underlayment of extra thick padding for superior cushioning. A built4n longitudinal tool tray is formed in the center by standing seams that provide a handy place to rest tools. Best of all, the "Cadillac" script and crest logo is over ten inches high. Also printed in the logo block is "Cadillac-LaSalle Club" in easy to read block lettering, and "Project of the Southern California Region" in small letters down in the corner. The silk-screened imprint is in high quality white paint. Edges are trimmed with a soft heavy-duty black welting stitched in white.

Perhaps the most endearing feature of these new CLC fender covers is how great they look. The large old style Cadillac script will remind you of the days when you car was being serviced at a dealership many years ago. Many postwar Cadillac distributors, factory branches, and dealerships used these logo-type fender covers in their service departments. According to our sources, in general, fender covers were traditionally red in color prior to 1960 and blue thereafter. However, in some parts of the country, red was the only color available until recently. Black fender covers have become popular in recent years (late 1980's and 1990s).
