Facts:
The true, original mileage on this car is 42,000. My
understanding is that
this car was originally purchased by a Doctor in South Dakota. It was
subsequently acquired by a mechanic at a dealership in South Dakota.
The mechanic kept the car for several years but did not have inside
storage and the car suffered some hail and other weather damage. The
car was then purchased by a service instructor from GM. He planned on
restoring the car as a retirement project. His wife told me "we towed
that car all over the country as he got transferred around". Well, sad
part of the story is that he did finally retire, moved to Visalia, CA, built
a beautiful new home with an air conditioned shop/garage and died of a
heart attack before he ever touched the car. I bought the car from his
widow who used the money to buy a new piano (Grand piano that is).
The car is still mostly original except for paint and minor repairs. |
